Hi, Just started to get to know a bit about casino and bookmaker affiliated commisions and came upon a part i realy don't understand and was hoping someone would help me.
The way i understand how the whole system works is you drive trafic to your site and they sign up and wager cash and after the month the net losses or profits are calculated and commision is paid to you on net losses of about 20% e.g. $1000 losses = $200 commision sorry to sound like a bit of an idiot but where is the profit for the bookie. help help can't get my head round this. |

commissions are always calculated on the losses of the player, not the house

Yes, with casinos you get paid when your players lose money.
It is always worth to read through the program's Terms and Conditions (i.e. your contract!) because there could be some tricky parts you don't take into consideration upon signing up, but when it comes to payment you can save yourself some head-aches. Best resource for finding reputable affiliate programs is Casino Affiliate Programs | Affiliate Guard Dog. If you can't find a specific program in the Affiliate Guard Dog forums, just ask around ![]() I don't promote sportsbooks, but what I have heard from other affiliates that it could be seasonal (around the big sport events) while casinos could provide more constant revenue stream.

in short they pay you 20% of the casino/sportsbook nett earnings for the month.
note that is combined across all of your players. (so one big winning player , can negate all your other losing players quite easily) some reset to zero each month ('no negative carryover) but some carryover so if you have a player that had a large win , it may take a while for the rest of your players to lose enough to bring your account back into revenue |
