Supposse you won't be caught by google and your account cannot be banned for ilegal use.
Would you start a campaign?
I know some people here used adwords for casino in the past.
Any ideas?

U can advertise gambling in adwords as long as you target UK, Ireland or Austria and as long as you get white listing from Google. All other countries are illegal and if you do want to advertise there you should be very very careful

Of course I would start a campaign as would any other sensible webmaster. The only reason we dont is because Google dont allow it.

If you are white Listing from Google you can start a campaign and I am with Bignoman that you should be very careful if you thinking for the advertising their because Google don't allow it.

I am really asking for some tips and if it can be profitable" - yes it can be profitable. but this days, since Google allow gambling through UK there is a lot of competition and everything needed to be done very carefully.
Few point to take under consideration:
- Make sure you have the best offers possible. (If you are not strong affiliate and don't have the top offers, you won't be able to compete with other affiliate or with the vendors as the player worth more to them)
- research, research and again research. You must choose your KW's very carefully, i know everybody say go to the long tail, but the problem is that is not enough traffic there so don't be afraid from the "big" Kw's but do it carefully.
- try to build small groups of KW's (10 KW's max), for each group build 3 - 5 ads that will contain the group kw's and will be appealing to the users.
- Make different LP for each group and optimize the LP according to the group KW and ads..

There is a lot more you can and should do, but you can start from the pointer i gave you.

P.S - don't forget, if you targeted gambling you should apply to get white listing from Google.

I am doing it step by step, first I need gogle not to delete my ads in days, then I will test test test to try to know the best KW/ad-text possible.

Ads are up now 4 days ago $50 costs 1 real depositor...

I'd like to give an update

After a month testing with casino keywords focused on one casino with a redirect to the casino home page, I try to say that the ad landing page is a page that redirects to the casino with my affiliate code.

I tried different keyword groups:
download casino or download xxx casino
the name of the casino
play casino xxxx
casino deposit
negative words: no deposit, free, etc

I had 36k impressions
around 1% clicks
and 7 depositors but only 2 of them made it over $20

I set an initial budget at the beggining of 1000€ and will go for it until I loose or win.

What I am sure is that "I am adicted to adwords tuning"
